Stress can stem from a person’s core values and his or her physical and emotional reactions to situations in life. Stress is simply your subconscious mind preparing your body to protect itself. Emotional stress, especially the hidden kind that people are not aware of, undermines immunity, disrupts the body’s physiology and if left unchecked contributes to disease. My Story

My name is Lalita and I am a Stress Release Practitioner/Pain Coach with over 30 years experience in health, wellness and mind/body connection. I have a sound background in Addiction/Mental Illness Counselling, specialising in Smoking Cessation and worked many years as a Wellness Coach and Crisis Counsellor.

I know exactly what the damaging effects of long term chronic stress can lead to. For 17 years, I struggled with Lupus, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. I had chronic muscle and joint pain from head to toe. I suffered extreme fatigue, insomnia, osteoarthritis, throbbing headaches 24/7, severe memory loss, chest pains, brain fog, irritable bladder, gastrointestinal issues, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, chemical sensitivities, restless legs, plantar fasciitis, constant nausea and a persistent cough. I walked with a walking stick, looking like I was 90 years old, but I was 40. I fought to stay out of a wheelchair everyday and most days felt like I was going to die.

I was told there wasn’t a cure, I would live like this for the rest of my life and I would need ongoing major surgeries and medications to survive. I lost all hope, which plunged me into a deep clinical depression and most days I contemplated suicide.

I tried everything possible from conventional to complimentary medicine, which financially nearly ruined us. Eventually some of the natural therapies gave me enough energy to get out of bed but I still suffered every day from chronic pain and relied on pain killers to get me through. I went back to study mental illness and addictions to add to my years of counselling experience. 

In 2014 I was introduced to FasterEFT (Faster Emotionally Focused Transformation), developed by Robert G. Smith and used it to completely free myself of chronic pain. I found it so empowering I decided to train to become a practitioner. I have a global practice and offer private sessions both in person and over Skype and Zoom. I also offer regular information sessions, workshops, deliver presentations to workplaces, speak at community events, offer demonstrations at retreats and corporate settings. I have worked with clients from many parts of the world, to empower them to heal from grief and loss, improve relationships, break free from fears and phobias, let go of limiting beliefs, painful memories and learn to understand and love themselves.

The Relationship Between the Brain and the Immune System

Dealing with Fears and Phobias

Fears and phobias, if left unaddressed, can run your life completely. Apart from the limitations they impose on living up to your potential, dreams, goals, and enjoyment, they can also create significant debilitating stress. Whenever you’re feeling fear or anxiety, your body has gone into the fight-freeze-flight emergency state. This is the same state you would enter if you were in danger of being attacked by a predator. Our bodies are designed for survival; and a key part of that design is the fight-freeze-flight state.


FasterEFT for Trauma and PTSD

The effects of trauma are wider and deeper than most people realise. While some of the effects are obvious in some people, some of the time, the damage and impact on daily life is mostly hidden. There is also a belief that “If I don’t think about it, it’s not there.” However, the truth is that the experience of trauma forms not only memories, but the foundations from which a person is experiencing the world. Regardless of whether the conscious mind is recalling the memory or not, and regardless of how much the conscious mind may reason and use logic to deal with it, the subconscious is using it as a reference. 


Stress, Trauma and Allergies

We tend to think of chemical sensitivities and allergies as conditions that originate from the body itself, and are beyond our control. However, it’s important to bear in mind that the brain controls the body. The body is unable to function without the brain. Every process that takes place in the body – every physical response – originates from the brain. This means that allergic reactions and adverse responses are controlled by the brain, not the body. The body experiences the trigger (the substance or circumstance), the signal is received by the brain, and the brain then prompts the body’s stress response.


Eating Disorders and Stress

An eating disorder can cause more issues than weight-gain or excessive weight-loss; it can create a significant amount of stress in a person’s life. In addition to this, since eating disorders are the result of stress, it can become a vicious circle. Addressing these conditions using traditional methods such as will-power and traditional therapy and counselling is only addressing the symptoms. The cause of all eating disorders goes much deeper than food and dietary choices.
